The role

Working as part of the Manufacturing Operations team based in our Global Headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for ensuring GMP operations are conducted in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner in line with the expectations of regulatory agencies and clients.
As part of a busy team within a rapidly growing organisation, operating within a challenging industry you will benefit from the numerous personal and professional developmental opportunities available throughout the Almac group.

Essential Criteria

  • BSc in a Life Science, Science or Engineering subject (or equivalent)
  • Significant working experience in a pharmaceutical development, manufacturing or testing environment
  • Experience managing a team of people (scientists / operators) involved in the manufacture of drug product.
  • Experience of resource utilisation planning
  • Experience in dealing presenting on technical topics related to scientific data
  • Experience of data acquisition, trending and analysis and the development of KPIs

Desirable Criteria
(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

  • Experience of transferring drugs from development to commercial manufacturing and the associated PV and CPV requirements
  • Experience in developing drug product formulations and processes suitable for phase I, II and III stages of pharmaceutical development
  • Experience of managing department budgets, reviewing proposals and supporting business development activities
