The Waking Night Team Leader is an integral part of the Mews Management team. Their responsibilities include the support of the staff team to deliver personal care and housing support service to the required regulatory and Best Practice Standards.
Effective communication and positive interaction are key features of this role and include the delegation of duties to support assistants to ensure the provision of personal care and housing support to service users’ with Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs
The Waking Night Team Leader will provide leadership throughout each shift to a team of support assistants and be responsible for ensuring all service users receive high quality, person centred care and support.
The Waking Night Team Leader will mentor and supervise support assistants and will work on the Rota on an as required basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Nights)
Contract: Permanent
Location: The Mews, 143 Glen Road, Belfast, BT11 8FU
Salary/Hourly Rate: £14.62 per hour
Essential Criteria:
Numerate and literate to keep records, handle clients finances, maintain records and write reports.
NVQ/QCF 3 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent
Can demonstrate previous experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
Two years’ previous experience in providing support/care.
Experience of working in partnership with service users, families, health care professionals, carers, advocates and other agencies.
Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook.
Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a vehicle.
*consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence
