Appointments are for a period of five years, which may be renewed for a further period of five years.

Remuneration is £2000 per annum plus travel expenses.

Time commitment – 4/6 meetings per annum, each 2 to 3 hours.

JOB PURPOSE:
As an independent member of the Committee, the successful candidate will help ensure the good governance of the Housing Executive’s asset management functions across its existing portfolio of homes, reporting to the Board and providing assurance to the Board as to their organisational and financial effectiveness and alignment with the aims and objectives set out in the corporate plan.

As a committee member you will also be asked to:

  • Identify risks which require to be brought to the attention of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee and/or the Board
  • Provide expert advice and guidance consistent with the governance expectations of non-executive members

REQUIREMENTS:   
Applicants must provide evidence by the closing date for application that they meet the following essential criteria:
1. Successfully overseeing strategic asset management in a large**, complex organisation  
OR
Successfully overseeing strategic asset management professional services at a senior* level in a relevant area (e.g. Chartered Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor)
