The Mount Charles Group is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team in Head Office based on the Ormeau Road in Belfast.

The successful candidate will benefit from working in a modern office building based in the centre of Belfast. The core hours of work will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with Flexi time benefits. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop professionally whilst adding value to a highly motivated and results driven team. 

What you'll do in this role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist will have a key role within the Finance department. This role is pivotable in the production of management accounts for a group of companies, preparation of variance analysis whilst working as part of the wider finance team.

What will make you perfect for the job?
You will have a minimum of 3 years experience within this field, have strong numerical skills, have a strong competence using Microsoft Office and have excellent time management to meet tight deadlines. You will be organised, a people person and have a passion for the role that you do.

Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not restricted to;
•    Maintain and review invoices on procurement system 
•    Transfer invoices from procurement system to accounts package
•    Review vendor invoices, record invoices according to company policy
•    Maintain accuracy in processing of AP transactions
•    Prepare monthly payments to vendors
•    Reconciling supplier statements 
•    Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
•    Assist with the month end close of accounts payable and accruals
•    Other ad Hoc duties

The ideal Candidate will have:
•    Previous experience of accounts payable in a fast-paced environment
•    Strong computer skills inc Microsoft Excel
•    Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, management, and auditors
•    Experience with procurement software or ERP accounts software would be desirable 

Rate of pay: Negotiable depending on experience.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, to suit the needs of the business.
